DJ Xilion Quick Facts:
I DJ'ed at Second Life's 8th Birthday party on June 23rd 2011, and played a special mix made for SL8B: Click here for the video! :D
I have my own Fanclub! Click here to join!
I play virtually anything between Super Mario and Rammstein, so to speak.
I pride myself on my Fast-Audio-Request-Processing© (or FARP, for short), meaning I will ALWAYS play a patron's request within a "2 queued songs" timeframe, as long as the request fits the party-theme (or as long as you just want me to play all requests).
I use Skype as part of my DJ-session. Patrons can call me and get live on the air to express themselves!
I use:
- Intel Core i3 530 @ 2.93GHz
- nVidia GeForce 315
- nVidia HD Audio soundcard
- Logitech G35 Headset
===
- Sam Broadcaster 4.3.0.51
- Windows 7
- Virtual Audio Cables v.2.1
- Skype
DJ Xilion Iceberg
Welcome to my DJ section!
My name, on Second Life, is Xilion Iceberg, and I am a DJ! I (have) spin(ned) my tunes at a wide variety of venues, such as Frank's Place Jazz , as well as various other clubs where I do either one-time parties, or sometimes (have) work(ed) for a longer period.
My musical preference truely lies with ballroom- and latin music, and jazz / oldies. That being said, I can have great fun playing techno, trance, rock, and more! I tend not to profile myself as a one-type-of-music DJ. Other than my personal preferences, I think mostly any type of music is worth playing, except styles such as noisecore / heavy grunge.
I am always looking for / interested in more DJ'ing work!
Good reasons to contact me: - I am an active on-voice DJ. I talk throughout my events. Thanks to my high-quality headset my voice is superclear. - I play any and every request, always! (see my Quick facts to the left) - I have a very, very broad music collection reaching from classical music to rammstein / megadeth / etc. - I have my own fanbase, and was one of the selected DJ's to play at Second Life's official 8th Birthday Party! - I am age verified and voice verified. I do have voice-changers if need be, suiting the event. - I have my own intro's / request-notifications / other audiofiles to emphasise the overall DJ experience. I have my own intermezzo-songs to use during half-time, where I can tell the listeners about your venue, or anything else! - I have Skype© hooked up to my DJ software, meaning I can take LIVE calls on-air! Patrons love it. - I am active in local chat as well, helping your Host out with announcing things from time to time. - I have my very own stream! Click here to listen if I am DJ'ing right now! - I am European, meaning I can connect with your patrons on a different level. Also; I am available on other hours than my American counterparts! :)
Reasons not to contact me: - You have an offer that has nothing to do with DJ'ing. - You're not looking for a serious, active, and fun-loving DJ. |
I prefer working for 100% tips and/or (in combination with) a set salary. DJ'ing is hard work the way I do it, and I like to be rewarded fair, and whilst I know that a tip-based-income is never predictable, I like to negotiate an estimate / base income with you. I am not expecting 5000L$ in tips, but sadly I have had countless gigs where I ended up with 50L$ after 2 - 3 hours of active DJ'ing.
I reserve the right to have a trial gig / trial period with you when you wish to hire me for an extended period.
I also reserve the right that I am not -always- available on voice, due to my Real Life situation. I am during my "local time" daytime, untill midnight (which is 3pm SLT). After that, I might be able to DJ, but I will do so without the active use of voice. Recorded voice-clips can still be used if you wish.
If I sparked your interest, please drop a Notecard in my Inventory on Second Life, or Contact me via the Contact page. Note that the contact page is in Dutch, but I am sure you will manage. :D
I DJ'ed at SL8B (Second Life's 8th Birthday) and played a mix I made especially for that event, here's the video!
Kindest regards,
(DJ :P )
